What is CDAP?
The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a federal government program aims to support small and medium-sized businesses on their adoption of digital technologies to grow and improve competitiveness.
- a grant of up to $15,000 to retain a digital advisor to develop a Digital Adoption Plan
- an interest-free loan of up to $100,000 from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to implement the Digital Adoption Plan
What are the qualifications?
- Incorporated under Canadian laws at the provincial/national level or Canadian resident sole proprietor
- Privately owned
- For profit
- Has 1-499 employees
- Annual revenue of $500,000 – $100 million in one of last 3 years
What is a Digital Adoption Plan?
The Digital Adoption Plan encompasses a digital maturity assessment and a roadmap to implement pertinent digital technologies. It covers the following:
- Executive summary: how the business benefits and 3 recommended digital solutions
- Current state assessment: a high level business review and a digital maturity assessment
- Digital solutions recommendations: a list of prioritized technology initiatives
- Roadmap: timeline for the initiatives, 3 vendor-neutral recommended solutions including their measures of success and estimated costs
About the loan
Upon completing the Digital Adoption Plan, you can apply for:
- a 0% interest loan from BDC
- amortized over 5 years with an initial postponement of 12 months
- Revenue between $500,000 – $5 million: $25,000 – $50,000 loan
- Revenue between $5 million and more: $50,000 – $100,000 loan
